A few of my concepts for Live and Let Dai

Original production keyart provided was Dai sitting on the floor with his dog. Explored different concepts that depict Dai's face filled with hope. Exploration includes clearcutting Dai and placing on different backgrounds, using the Kanji symbol because a big part of his journey included going to Japan and playing with text in the frame to reflect the style of the documentary with Dai's handwriting.

The final concept is a still of Dai at a specific timestamp, image was extended, retouched and chose a font similar to Dai's handwriting for the title.
